The HI 700 Ammonia Low Range Checker is a simple, accurate and cost effective way to measure low ranges of ammonia in fresh water. Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI 700 provides quick, accurate results in four easy steps – details appropriate to model given below:

    1.    Add a sample to the included cuvette
    2.    Insert sample into the Checker and zero it out
    3.    Remove sample and add reagent (A & B – 4 drops of each)
    4.    Reinsert sample and click the button to measure your results or press and hold the button for 3 seconds for a time reaction reading

The HI 700 uses an adaptation of the ASTM Manual of Water and Environmental Technology, D1426-92, Nessler method. The reaction between ammonia and reagents causes a yellow tint in the sample.

Accurate and easy to use.
  • Small palm-sized design
  • Accurate from ±0.05ppm ± 5% of reading
  • Dedicated to a single parameter
  • Uses a single AAA battery
  • Auto Power Off after 10 minutes inactivity
  • Built-in timer for timed reaction readings

Hanna HI764 Nitrite Checker (ULR)   PDF File for Hanna HI764 Nitrite Checker (ULR)

Hanna HI764 Nitrite Checker (ULR)

The Hanna (HI764) Nitrite Checker measures exceptionally low levels of Nitrite and bridges the gap between simple chemical test kits and professional instrumentation. With 1 part per billion (ppb) resolution it provides accurate digital readout of Nitrite levels in water.

With its fantastic ability to measure exceptionally low levels of nitrite, the Hanna Nitrite Checker is an absolute boon for salt water aquarists.

Nitrites are an intermediate form of nitrogen produced when ammonia is converted into nitrate during the nitrogen cycle. As organic matter decays, it produces ammonia; the highly toxic ammonia is converted into nitrite by bacteria; and the nitrite is then converted into nitrate by another bacteria.

Nitrite is dangerous to aquatic life if it is allowed to build up, causing tissue damage that can lead to illness and death. By detecting even minute levels of nitrite, the Hanna Nitrite Checker can help aquarists to take action at the earliest possible moment and eliminate unnecessary suffering among the fish. Accurate and easy to use, a bright tactile little tester that’s attractive to hold and easy to use.

The Hanna HI764 Nitrite Checker Features:

  • Accuracy ±10 ppb

Hanna HI711 Total Chlorine Checker

Hanna HI711 Total Chlorine CheckerWith the Hanna Total Chlorine Checker you can check for total chlorine at the touch of a button and get instant results. Chlorine is the most common water disinfectant. Once in water it presents as free chlorine and total chlorine.

  • Free chlorine is the chlorine that is available in the water to tackle bacteria. As the process of disinfection takes place, the levels of free chlorine will reduce.
  • Total chlorine is the measurement of free and used chlorine in the water. If the total chlorine is high but the free chlorine is low or non-existent, then there is insufficient chlorine in the water to deal with the levels of contamination.

Free chlorine is the most frequently tested of the two chemicals. By checking for the two as part of a rigorous testing procedure, adjustments in chlorine levels can be made quickly and easily and a high level of disinfection can be easily maintained.

Perfect for palm and pocket

The contoured style of the HI711 Total Chlorine Checker is designed to fit in the palm of your hand. The large LCD is easy to read and the auto shut-off feature ensures the battery life will not be drained if you forget to turn it off.
